Have a Blast on a WaveRunner Rental!

If you've never had the opportunity to take a ride on a waverunner, you are seriously missing out! Waverunners are a blast on the water and if you're looking for a fun day, renting a waverunner is the way to go! If you've never rented a waverunner or it's been so long that you've forgotten what it's like, your favorite boat rental company at the Lake of the Ozarks is here to share with your three reasons we know you will LOVE riding a Waverunner!

They are Easy to Maneuver

This particular jet ski is the only watercraft of its kind that comes with an on-water brake. This means that you will be able to come to a stop up to 100 feet sooner than on other jet skis. The brake is located on the left side of the handlebar, meaning you never have to take your hands away from them. Squeezing the brake lever brings you to a stop, and squeezing it again while stopped will put the PWC in reverse. This makes docking a breeze. These extra features make it easy for even a beginner to pick up this exciting sport.

They are Easy to Get Out on the Lake

Our jet skis are lightweight, and the compact design makes it easy to get them into the water and get you on your way. Another great bonus is the fact that they are extremely fuel-efficient. That means lots of cruising around the Lake for less money spent on gas.

They are FUN!!!

You'll find this out very soon after you begin riding, but before you do, we can assure you that you will have the time of your life. They are fast and put you a little bit closer to the water than you are on a boat. You can get into smaller areas, letting you explore more. It's extra fun to rent a few with friends and race to all of the cool spots that the Lake of the Ozarks have to offer. After you jump a couple of wakes from some of the bigger boats out there, your adventurous spirit will be hooked.

Your family’s dream of great days on the water can happen TODAY. The Sea-Doo GTI 130 is easy-to-ride and boasts the most fuel-efficient engine available. The Sea-Doo GTI 130's exceptional power-to-weight ratio makes it a more nimble, playful, and effortless ride, every time. Perfect for the entire family. It's light, colorful, and it's the most fun personal watercraft on the Lake! Call BomBay Boat Rental to rent a waverunner at the Lake of the Ozarks today!

Rent or Buy a Boat? - Which is Best?

Many people dream of owning a boat! The idea of owning a boat and being able to take it out whenever you want sounds appealing to many. However, the "joy" of owning a boat comes with a lot of work and a lot of expense that you might not have thought about. When you rent a boat at the Lake of the Ozarks instead of owning one, you get to enjoy the joys of being out on the water without all the hassle and extra expense. Ask yourself these questions before committing to boat ownership.

How often will you use the boat?

One big regret of boat owners is the fact that they don't get a chance to get out on the water enough. If you know for a fact that you will be boating every single week, then this may not be a worry for you. On the other hand, if you only have a few days here and there that you can find the time to enjoy a day on the lake, it will probably be a lot cheaper to rent a boat when you decide to go out.

Also, if you don't have a lake near your home and must travel to go boating, renting will allow you to boat wherever you go without having to bring the watercraft along with you.

How much are you willing to spend?

As with any large purchase, if you have been considering buying a boat, you have probably figured out exactly how much you can afford to spend on it. The problem is that most people only think about the purchase price. Boats aren't just a monthly payment. They cost a lot of money every time that you take them out. Here are a few of the expenses you are in store for beyond the asking price.
Title, registration, & insurance: These are already taken care of when you rent a boat.
  • Maintenance: A lot can go wrong with a boat when it is out on the water, and fixing it usually doesn't come cheap. BomBay Boat Rental Co. offers the newest and best-maintained fleet on the water. You will always get a dependable boat rental from us, and if something does go wrong, we'll take care of it.
  • Storage: If you don't have a place at your home that you can keep your boat, you will need to rent a dock slip rented to keep it in. Don't forget about storage in the off-season too. It will need to be winterized and pulled out of the water in the winter. Renting a boat means that you simply drop it off when you are done and we'll take care of the storage details.

Which kind should you buy?

Different kinds of boats are good for various types of usage and passengers. Buying means you have to pick out one. Renting means that you can use a different boat every time that you go out, depending on what you have in mind for that trip.

BomBay Boat Rental Co. offers ski boats, tritoons, and jet skis for rent, and at some of our locations.

Essential Items for a Day of Boating at the Lake!

Boating season is in full swing here at the Lake of the Ozarks! BomBay Boat Boat Rental makes getting out on the water easy with four convenient Lake of the Ozarks boat rental locations! If you haven't had to the chance to get out on the water, it's time to pack your boating bags and get out on the water! Speaking of boating bags, when you plan a day out on the water you won't want to forget any essential items for a fun time out on the water. Today, our boat rental company at the Lake of the Ozarks has a full list of what to pack for a day of boating, check it out!

Wide-Brimmed Hat
When the sun comes out, you'll be thankful for this little addition in your boat bag.

Insect Repellent
If you have a pulse, you're a target for those pesky bugs! Keep some insect repellent on hand to protect yourself from their bites.

Chapstick
Did you know that even your lips can be burned from the sun? Chapstick can help protect them.

Motion Sickness Pills
Even if you aren't at risk of getting sick, your passengers could be. There are many different types and styles on the market, so find what works best and keep it on hand.

Hand Sanitizer or Wipes
After handling bait, fish, or anything else you may find on your boat outing, it can be nice to have a way to clean up.

Non-Perishable Snacks
Granola bars, peanut butter crackers, and anything that won't melt in the heat of being out all day are great snacks to keep on hand for if you get hungry.

Rain Gear
The weather can change at a moments notice, so keeping a few rain ponchos in your kit will help ensure that you are prepared.

Sunglasses
Forget your favorite pair at home? Don't worry! If you put a spare in your boat bag, you'll always be able to protect your eyes.

Sunscreen
When you're out on the water, you have very few places to hide from the sun, so you'll want to have proper protection in the form of sunscreen.

Light Jacket or Sweatshirt
Because the weather is so unpredictable, you may as well be prepared for sudden coolness throughout the day. A light jacket should be just enough to keep you from freezing if a breeze comes.

Towels
Even if you aren't planning on getting wet during your boat trip - accidents (or kids with water guns ... ) happen!

Distress Signals
Visual Distress Signals are imperative. You may be able to travel on the water for years without needing one, but when you do need it, you'll be glad that you have it.

Water Bottles
You'll want to have enough water for everyone on the boat, and for the length of time that you'll be out. That can look different for every boat trip, and obviously can't fit in your bag, but you'll want to have it just in case.

Airtight Cooler
Every good boat trip needs something to keep the food cold!

Boat License
In the state of Missouri, you have to have a boating license in order to operate a boat, even if you are just renting. Make sure you either keep this with your boating supplies or in your wallet so you'll have it.

Waterproof Camera
Sure, most people just use their cell phones, but sometimes it might be nice to have a camera that is waterproof for capturing memories. Plus, a waterproof camera can be a lot easier to replace than your cell phone if it falls in the water.

Cell Phone or Marine Radio
If something happens, you'll be thankful for a way to contact someone. Just make sure that your cell phone is either in a waterproof case, or you have a waterproof bag for it.

Change of Clothes
Whether you're planning on getting wet or not, having a change of clothes in a zip lock bag can be a huge relief if you want to wear something dry halfway through the day.

First Aid Kit
Accidents happen, but that doesn't mean you can't be prepared for them!

Fishing License
You can keep this with your boating license so that you always have it when you need it. You are required to have a fishing license in Missouri, so make sure you know the rules and are following them.
