Holiday Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

The best boat rental company at the Lake of the Ozarks is still renting our boats by reservation this time of year, but if you aren't in the mood to get out on the water, there are lots of other exciting things going on in the area this month. The holidays bring along with them all kinds of celebrations and events. BomBay Boat Rental Company mentioned a few ongoing ones in our "November Holiday Happenings" blog, and here are some more to add to that list for December.

Dec. 13:  Christmas for Kids

This popular annual benefit sponsored by the Christmas for Kids Committee, Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast, and Lake Area Businesses is always highly anticipated.  This year it is being held at the Country Club Hotel & Spa in Lake Ozark.  For $20 plus an unwrapped toy (or $40 without a toy) you can enjoy live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar, along with the knowledge that you are helping to make a Lake area child's Christmas a merry one.  Silent auction items will be up for bid.  Shawn C will be performing to open the evening, followed by Captain Geech & the Shrimp Shack Shooters.  It all begins at 7:00 pm.  If you would like to sponsor a table, you will be invited to the VIP Party at 6:00 pm.  Call John Duba at 573-692-0135 or Katie Karr at 573-216-4247 if you would like to make sponsorship arrangements.

Dec. 19:  Jingle Jog 2015

The Tri-County YMCA of the Ozarks will be hosting their 1st Annual Jingle Jog.  This 5K run/walk will begin in the YMCA parking lot at 9:00 am, with registration beginning at 8:00 am.  You may register for $20 until December 11, and after that it will be $25.  They will also have a 2-mile walk for anyone that wants to participate on a smaller scale.  After the event, Santa will be there along with a hot cocoa bar, music, and games for the kids.  For more information please call 573-348-9230.

There are a few ideas for things to keep you entertained off the water.  This is an exciting place to be all year long.  If you the need to get out on the water, call us up and reserve one of our Lake of the Ozarks boat rentals.  On a sunny day, it's hard to resist getting out there.  As for the rest of the month, enjoy all that the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer this season.  Happy holidays!
