7 Reasons That Boating After Labor Day is the Best

It's a common misconception that once Labor Day is over, life at the lake comes to a screeching halt.  NOT TRUE!  As a matter of fact, late Summer and early Fall are the best times to rent a boat at the Lake of the Ozarks.  Here are 7 of the reasons that you should be making a boat or jet ski rental reservation with us at BomBay Boat Rental Company.

1. There's less traffic.
Many of the people that vacation here in the Summer have kids in school or are busy with work this time of year.  There are still plenty of locals and visitors to the area around, but much less than smack dab in the middle of tourist season. This gives you plenty of room out on the water to relax and not worry about too many other boats getting in your way.

2. You'll have a smoother ride.
With less traffic on the Lake, you will get a much smoother riding experience. Fewer boats mean fewer waves, which means a much more calm and relaxing day for you.

3. It's peaceful.
Another benefit of fewer boats on the water is that there is a lot less noise.  The sound of multiple boat engines on the Lake can sometimes drown out all of those sweet sounds of nature.  Get out there this time of year and you will truly experience the beauty of the Lake of the Ozarks without all of the noisy distractions.

4. It's gorgeous.
We are lucky enough to live in a part of Mid-Missouri that is beautiful year-round.  Here at the Lake of the Ozarks, the leaves will soon change to a rainbow of Fall colors and the entire area will look like it came straight out of a painting. Seeing this from the water elevates this experience to another level.

5. The fish are biting.
Yes, the fish were biting all Summer too, but you had to find a quiet spot where they weren't all scared away.  This time of year it's a lot easier to find quiet spots with hungry fish wherever you go.

6. You can always find a parking spot.
Many of the waterfront bars and restaurants at the Lake of the Ozarks stay open as long as the weather allows, and we've got a lot of beautiful days ahead of us before it's too nasty to get to these places.  You will have no trouble finding an open slip to dock your boat rental and enjoy your favorite waterfront hot spot.

7. Shorter wait for food and drinks.
Once you make your way up from the dock, it is very likely that you will be seated right away, and with fewer customers, the cooks and bartenders will be able to whip up your favorites much quicker than they were able to in mid-July.

Your best bet for all of these things above to be true is to rent your boat during the week.  The weekends will be slower than usual, but there are a lot of fun Fall events scheduled in the Lake area, so there will still be visitors wanting to have the same fun that you are.

Don't miss out on exploring the Lake on one of our boat or jet ski rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks.  It is an experience that we suggest everyone try at least once.  We are positive that you'll love it and want to do it again every year.
